Map work and more

I finally got the courage to bring out the World Map puzzle. DJ loves it! I showed him how to match the puzzle pieces to the control sheet. This will become more important when we get to maps like the US or Asia where there are a lot of little tiny pieces.

Alfie Kohn: A Voice in the Wilderness

Practical Life: Care of Plants

Continuing our studies in the Practical Life album, I came across the section on Care of Plants. This is not my forte. I do not have a green thumb and plants tend to wither in my presence. I'm hoping to give DJ a chance to know more about plants. So we're starting simple with a house plant.

Brown Stair Activity and more

End of Summer

We've been really busy the past week so this is going to be a full post. Many kids are going back to school this week and if DJ were going to go to preschool, he likely would have started sometime this month so I'm starting to feel like our homeschooling is getting to be a bit more "official". So far we haven't done any back to school special activities. We still "do school" at DJ's whim. Whenever he decides to choose something from his Montessori shelves is when school happens.
